Medicaid enrollment still open at AAMC

Medical symbolWhile enrollment in the Maryland state health exchange came to an end March 31, the public can still apply for Medicaid. Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) can provide Medicaid health insurance enrollment and health plan purchasing assistance services.

Of those that enrolled for coverage through the exchange in Maryland under the Affordable Care Act during the open enrollment period, 80 percent enrolled in Medicaid.

AAMC assisters are available at the hospital and AAMC Community Clinic at 1419 Forest Drive in Annapolis. The assisters can educate consumers and help them complete an application for coverage under Medicaid or provide options for purchasing private health insurance.

Community members and patients should bring the following information:  a photo ID, social security number (or document number for immigrants), employer and income information (for example: from paystubs, W-2 forms, or wage and tax statements) for enrollment assistance.

Walk-ins are welcome or by appointments (call 443-481-1782) or visit the financial assistance office in AAMC’s Hospital Pavilion North near the first floor lobby. Park in garage C.
