Eye On Annapolis to sponsor Kegs & Corks Fest for 3rd year (August 23, 2014)

Kegs and corks 2014Mark your calendars for the Third Annual Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival on August 23, 2014. The 2013 event drew large crowds to the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds for a unique festival where craft beer and Maryland wine came together….catering to beer and wine lovers alike.

In an effort to promote “buying local,” the festival will once again feature the Maryland Wine Pavilion where guests will sample exceptional Maryland wines, while enjoying local crab cakes and fresh oysters.  The Craft Beer Corral will feature carefully selected craft beer from breweries across the United States, with a special focus on local breweries.  NEW THIS YEAR, the festival will also include special pairing booths for specific wine and beer selections featured on site.  Wine and craft brews will be paired with bacon, cheese, oyster shooters, chocolate, and more.  For a complete listing of participating wineries and breweries, visit www.kegsandcorksfest.com.

Tickets include a souvenir glass, limited samples of featured beer and wine, and entertainment all day.  Food and full glasses of beer and wine are available for purchase.

Entertainment will include live music performances by Uncle Jack, the Roadhouse Clams, and Tom Larson.

Presented by Eye on Annapolis, the 2014 Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival will benefit the local charity, the Chesapeake Bay Trust, which funds educational programs in schools to teach kids about the environment, on the ground restoration work that restores eroded shorelines, and community clean-ups and tree plantings that better our neighborhoods.  Find more information at www.cbtrust.org.
