On March 21,2014, the Anne Arundel County Police Department initiated an investigation involving the sexual abuse of a child.
Through the investigation, it was learned that a toddler left in the care and custody of Darrius Eric Carr was sexually abused over the course of several days. Based on evidence recovered during the investigation, detectives submitted an application for a statement of charges to the District Court Commissioner.
Currently, there is an outstanding arrest warrant charging Carr with Sex Abuse of a Minor, Third and Fourth Degree Sex Offenses, and Second Degree Assault, Production and Possession of Child Pornography. The identity and age of the victim is not being released.
