Annapolis police officer trapped after accident with truck on Compromise Street

traffic-accident iconA 25 year old Annapolis City police officer was flown to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore last night after a collision with a truck on Compromise Street in Annapolis.

The call came in just before midnight and the officer was trapped for approximately 20 minutes. A Maryland State Police helicopter landed at Annapolis Middle School to fly the officer to the shock trauma center where he was listed in stable condition.

The Annapolis Police Department has not released the name of the officer or the initial results of their investigation into the accident; however from a witness, the truck struck the police cruiser.
