The Maryland Port Administration (MPA) is hosting a family-friendly open house at its Cox Creek Dredge Material Containment Facility on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cox Creek is specially designed to receive dredged sediment from Baltimore Harbor. During the open house, there will be free family interactive activities, a chance to see the wildlife that inhabits the area, and tours of the Swan Creek wetland.
The public will also have the chance to learn first-hand about the MPA’s study to expand the site for the placement of dredged materials.
