K&B True Value is pleased to offer local non-profit and youth organizations a unique no-risk fundraising opportunity: “Popcorn for a Purpose.”
K&B True Value will set an organization up at the front of the store at a table with the store’s popcorn machine, supplies, and a donation jar. The organization’s volunteer(s) operates the popcorn machine offering FREE popcorn to customers, and asking for donations. It’s a free way to give local non-profit and youth organizations exposure to area residents and a no-cost, no-risk opportunity to raise funds.
K&B True Value owner Jared Littmann explains “The store owns a popcorn machine we’ve used for sales events and demonstrations but it is often idle. I wanted it to get more use.” K&B True Value has a long history of supporting community and local non-profit causes such as helping Eastport Elementary receive a grant for 40 gallons of paint to redo the school’s multi-purpose room, a grill raffle benefiting the Oyster Recovery Project and “Dogs for Dogs” a hot dog stand benefiting the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.
“Popcorn for a Purpose” operates on a first come, first serve basis. K&B True Value maintains a calendar to allow organizations to reserve the popcorn machine for Friday evenings (3-7 PM) or Saturdays (10 AM – 3 PM). Both are heavy traffic time slots.
Non-profit and youth organization who would like to take advantage of this no-risk fundraising opportunity should contact Heather Stark at 410-268-3939 or [email protected]
