New Horizons Supported Services golf tournament (May 2, 2014)

golfNew Horizons Supported Services, Inc. and the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce are jointly hosting “A Fairway to Help” Golf Tournament on Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Bowie Golf & Country Club, 7420 Laurel-Bowie Road, Bowie, MD. The cost is $125 per player and $450 per foursome. Registration is at 8:00 am with a Shot-Gun Start for best ball at 9:00 am. There will be a picnic and awards program immediately following the tournament. Sponsorships are still available.

Proceeds from this fundraising golf tournament will benefit New Horizons job training and employment services for individuals with developmental disabilities. For the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce, proceeds will benefit the Youth Leadership Bowie and the Women in Business Scholarship Funds.

New Horizons is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving over 150 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It is through New Horizons’ extensive training programs and supports that these individuals gain and develop the necessary skills and resources to maximize their potential for independence and inclusion in their community, both vocationally and socially.

The Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 organization with over 255 members serving as the voice of the business community in the Bowie region. Its mission is to stay connected with federal, state, county and local elected officials through numerous networking events and business forums.
