The game got off to a tough start for Bowie as after leading 1-0 in the 2nd inning, starter Zach Davies took a line drive off the forearm of his pitching arm and had to depart. Akron would tie the game shortly after.

In the bottom of the third inning the RubberDucks got the big inning. After a leadoff walk, SS Francisco Lindor tripled home a run to tie the game at 2-apiece. Bowie would chip away but could not get the big inning. The Baysox registered a run in the fourth when they had the bases loaded and no outs and one in the sixth with runners at the corners and one out.

Trailing 6-4 in the ninth inning the Baysox got Rosa’s fourth hit, a double off the centerfield wall. At third base with two down he scored on a throwing error by Urshela that kept the game alive. With SS Niuman Romero at third base and two down, 1B Christian Walker ripped a line drive to left field caught by Myles to end the game.
