How to meet a rock legend (May 9-10, 2014)

Bill WardHistory has proved Bill Ward to be a renowned musician. He’s written lyrics, music scores, produced albums, and performed in front of hundreds-of-thousands of fans.  In 1987 he won his first Grammy. In 2006 he was inducted into the Rock Star Hall of Fame. Today he’s about to unveil another side of his artistic talents. It’s in the form of rhythm on canvas.

Legendary drummer Bill Ward will discuss his impressive art at the Annapolis Collection Gallery on May 9 and 10. Like a painter using brushes, Ward creates art utilizing his drumsticks that light in a variety of ways. “When I’m playing, it’s almost like opening Pandora’s Box,” says Ward. “All of the images come from me literally playing drums. I was going through a lot of emotions… I now see them splattered all over these canvases.”

Purchase your favorite canvas before April 26 and you’ll receive an engraved invitation to meet the artist at his private event in the gallery Saturday night, May 10.  The legendary drummer will spend time with you, discuss his exhibit, and you’ll be photographed with him as he signs your favorite canvas. Contact Katherine Burke for a sneak preview of his entire Annapolis exhibit. For May 9 and 10 event schedule go to http://www.AnnapolisCollection.com.
