Chesapeake Arts Center presents Arts In The Park Festival (May 3, 2014)

Chesapeake Arts Center logoOn Saturday, May 3, 2014, artist and musicians will join forces at the “Arts in the Park Festival” at the Chesapeake Arts Center located at 194 Hammonds Lane, Brooklyn Park, Maryland 21225. Local artists will exhibit and offer their work for sale, while a festival of live music is presented from 11AM-3PM. The Chesapeake Arts Center is organizing the FREE event, under the leadership of the Executive Director Belinda Fraley Huesman.

The free outdoor festival will include a live performance by Carmen Nolte, a professional Bellydance instructor at the Chesapeake Arts Center, a K-9 Officer demonstration, Corn Hole, Moon Bounce, Stilt walker, local artist displaying and selling their art and entertainment for all ages!

The music component of the festival will combine the talents of local professional musicians, Tony Denikos, a roots rock’n, country blues’n, power folk’n, Americana musical experience at 11am. And the Jason and Brian Duo act starting at 1pm. Jason and Brian consists of Jason Shaw on lead vocals and acoustic guitar and Brian Moore on acoustic guitar and banter. The acoustic duo plays music from many styles from the 60s to today covering pop, rock, country, irish and reggae!

The Arts in the Park Festival is a great opportunity to see work of local artist and to enjoy some good music. For the music part of the festival, feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
