Shamrock kitties at the SPCA

spcaOn Wednesday, March 13th the SPCA of Anne Arundel County transferred 18 cats from Anne Arundel County Animal Control to their shelter.  As a private nonprofit organization that operates solely on the donations from the community, the SPCA of Anne Arundel County provides shelter and humane care to over 2,000 homeless animals per year.  Majority of the animals that enter our shelter are brought to us by the citizens of Anne Arundel County, however  the SPCA of Anne Arundel County recognizes that collaborating with other shelters and animal control facilities will maximize the number of animals saved.  For the past year, the SPCA of Anne Arundel County has successfully transferred 508 animals to their organization’s adoption program.

The SPCA of Anne Arundel County needs your help! From now until the end of this month, all cats with a shamrock on their cage will have a reduced adoption fee (standard adoption procedures apply). As with all SPCA animals, these special kitties will go home vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
