Fire destroys vacant Severn home

County Firefighters responded to a fire this morning in a vacant home in Severn. Calls began to be received around 9:30 a.m. reporting the incident in the 600 block of Yearling Court.

Upon arrival, firefighters found fire through the roof of the two-story home and requested a Working Fire dispatch. Thirty-seven personnel from Anne Arundel County and Baltimore City Fire Departments were able to bring this incident under control in less than 30 minutes.

The fire caused approximately $265.000 in total damages to the home.  The cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
