Comptroller Peter Franchot will present a proclamation to John O’Leary, founder of Warrior Events and the Annapolis St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  Recognizing O’Leary’s dedicated efforts and contributions to the Annapolis community, the Comptroller applauds the foundation’s success in bringing family fun and economic development to Anne Arundel County.

A native of Annapolis, O’Leary graduated from Broadneck High School and attended the U.S. Naval Academy, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 2009, he founded Warrior Events, an organization whose mission is to give back to our military by providing them and their families with opportunities for interaction and enjoyment. The organization has arranged spa days for caregivers, trips to sporting events and even a journey to Boston to meet first responders of the Boston Marathon bombing.
