Aulos Ensemble to perform at St. John’s College

St. Johns COllegeThe Aulos Ensemble will present “If Music be the Food of Love,” featuring Baroque chamber music with soprano, at St. John’s College. The concert, which is free and open to public, will be held in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium on March 28 at 8 p.m.

Formed in 1973 by five Juilliard graduates, flutist Christopher Krueher, oboist Marc Schachman, violinist Linda Quan, cellist Myron Lutzke, and harpsichordist Arthur Haas are world renowned baroque instrumentalists. The Aulos Ensemble was heralded by the Washington Post for its “elegance and surprising variety” and for “helping to pioneer today’s period-instrument movement. Thanks to groups such as Aulos, performances on early instruments no longer seem exotic or experimental.”
