Annapolis Film FestDirector George Roy Hill’s 1973 classic about the ultimate swindle in the era of flappers and speakeasies. Paul Newman and Robert Redford are seasoned con artists, Henry Gondoroff and his protégé, Johnny Hooker. Together they conceive the Big Con, a plan of epic proportions to take the ruthless racketeer, Doyle Lonnegan, for all he’s worth.  The score made Marvin Hamlisch a household name, and the script launched the career of young screenwriter, David S.
