Vote for your favorite Tobacco-Free Kids T-Shirt

AHD-166-Banner-Ad-250x250The Smoking Stinks program of the Anne Arundel County Department of Health has announced the online voting of its Tobacco-Free Kids T-shirt Design Contest. By going to SmokingStinks.org, voters can choose their favorite design. Votes can be cast on mobile devices, tablets and PCs from March 19 through April 2.
The winners will be announced on April 9. A ceremony with the custom T-shirts and iPod touch prizes will be scheduled to take place at the winners’ schools or community groups.
Tobacco-Free Kids Week (held February 9-15, 2014) enlisted schools and other youth-centered groups to reach kids with anti-tobacco activities that included pledges not to smoke, displays, trivia contests and presentations. Established in 1995, this year’s event saw 152 County groups hold anti-tobacco activities for almost 70,000 youth.
Tobacco-Free Kids Week is part of Smoking Stinks, a Learn To Live program of the Anne Arundel County Department of Health. Learn To Live encourages County residents to reduce their risk of developing cancer and other serious illnesses by making healthy lifestyle choices, such as eating a healthy diet, quitting smoking and getting regular cancer screenings.
