Shot in Maryland and Montana, Day of the Gun features veteran actor Eric Roberts as Abraham Tanner, who returns from the shadowy past of a widowed ranch owner to help settle a score.

Day of the Gun revolves around widowed ranch owner Maggie Carter (LaDon Hall) who in her struggle to survive, demands that local cattle baron Cyrus McCall (Jim Osborn) remove a barbed wire fence he has put up to deter rustlers. Maggie contends that the wire is across open range and threatens her livelihood. She promises, “There will be Hell to pay” if it doesn’t come down. Before the range war actually begins, however, tragedy strikes Maggie’s family. In desperation, Maggie summons a dark stranger (Eric Roberts) from her veiled past to even the score.

Day of the Gun features many fine actors from Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and Pennsylvania as well as Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts. While the majority of picture was shot locally, the second unit provides the Montana vistas that carry back to a world both beautiful and harsh.
