The Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Gretchen Huntley will be leading the Agency as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Ms. Huntley has over 10 years experience with Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency. She has served in many capacities with Community Action including Human Resources Director, Planning and Evaluation Director, Interim CEO, and Deputy CEO/ Director of Empowerment Services. Prior to joining Community Action, she spent thirty years as a Corporate Human Resources Director. After her 30 year career in the private sector, Gretchen decided it was time for a change and started a Human Resources Consulting Company. As a consultant, she was connected to AACCAA, who became one of her clients in 2003.
“Gretchen brings a unique skill set to the position of Chief Executive Officer,” said Leslie Stanton, President of the Community Action Board. “During her tenure as acting CEO, she earned the respect of the Board of Directors and she is well liked by staff. The Board is confident that Ms. Huntley will continue to carry out her duties as the permanent Chief Executive Officer in an exemplary manner”.
Ms. Huntley is a native of Weirton, West Virginia. She is a graduate of Marshall University, in Huntington, West Virginia, where she earned a BS in Counseling and Rehabilitation. She also attended the Antioch Law School in Washington, D.C. where she worked on a Master’s Degree in Employment Law.
