Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides and Annapolis Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) President and CEO Lara Fritts are pleased to welcome CleaVe THE BOUTIQUE to Annapolis.
Valerie Hall Yancey is the Owner of CleaVe THE BOUTIQUE, a wedding and party planning, gifts and accessories boutique, located at 45 West Street in Annapolis. The boutique features more than 3000 products that can help in meeting all your wedding and party planning needs. Along with everything from invitations to party favors, the boutique also showcases fashion apparel and accessories, jewelry, perfume, aromatherapy candles and bath gels, and a host of other gift items some of which are made by local artisans.
“This boutique offers unique products and caters to a large cross section of our community,” Mayor Pantelides said. “This type of business appeals to both locals and visitors and we wish Ms. Yancey and her staff much success.”
“CleaVe is an experience,” AEDC President Fritts said. “This locally owned business is a good fit for Annapolis because it allows the consumer a variety of event options and products all under one roof.” The boutique has a team of in-house consultants providing wedding tips for the DIY bride or anyone looking to plan a fabulous event. Every month, the boutique hosts party planning workshops and other specialty classes for those interested in learning more about wedding etiquette, event planning, and design. There are also Designer Trunk Shows scheduled every 3rd Saturday of the month to provide local vendors in the industry an opportunity to display their wares and services.
“I wanted to create a shopping experience that not only catered to special event planning needs, but also a place where people could find unique gift items for themselves and others,” Yancey said. “The name CleaVe comes from Genesis 2:24–For a man shall leave his mother and father and Cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh. In addition to the boutique, Yancey owns Valerie Hall Yancey Events, a premier Special Events Planning and Wedding Consulting firm serving brides, businesses, and organizations in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia.
