Annapolis Police Report: stabbing, theft from vehicle, robbery

police-blotter-graphicStabbing – 201400000927 – 100 block of Woodlawn Av – 02/24 at 11:50pm: The 68 year old male victim was stabbed with a large kitchen knife causing injuries to his arm. The suspect was identified as Kelly Sturman, 50, of Annapolis. The suspect and the victim are in a domestic relationship. Sturman was arrested and charged with attempted first and second degree murder, first degree assault, possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, possession of a concealed dangerous weapon, and reckless endangerment. Sturman is being held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400000929 – 1900 block of West St – 02/24 at 9pm to 02/25 at 7am: The passenger side vent window was broken and a credit card was stolen from the center console of the vehicle.

Robbery – 201400000937 – 1300 block of Forest Dr – 02/21 at 2pm: On 02/25 the adult male victim reported a robbery that occurred over the weekend. The victim reported that on 02/21 he was walking in the area when a male subject came up behind him and assaulted him, taking his Apple iPhone. Through investigation Jaime Mejia, 22, of Annapolis was identified as the suspect. Mejia was arrested and charged with robbery, second degree assault, and theft less than $1,000. Mejia is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $200,000 bond.
