Annapolis Police Report: Missing Man, Armed Robbery

police-blotter-graphicArmed Robbery – 201400000719 – 1900 block of Fairfax Rd – 02/11 at 1:30pm:  A man entered the business, jumped over the counter, and threatened the employee with a box cutter.  The man took money from the business and ran out the rear door.

Critically Missing Adult – 201400000722 – Unit block of Summerfield Dr – 02/09 at 8:30am:  On 02/11 Kyle Turner, 50, of Annapolis was reported missing by relatives.  Mr. Turner, also known as Peppy, left Summerfield Dr to attend church at Asbury United Methodist Church at 87 West St.  Mr. Turner was wearing a black suit, red dress shirt, and a red tie.  He is known to frequent downtown Annapolis, the Festival at Riva shopping center, and the Harbour House community.  If you have any information about his whereabouts please contact the Annapolis Police Department at 410-268-9000.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400000725 – Unit block of Bricin St – 02/10 at 8:30pm to 02/11 at 6:30am:  The owner’s manual, vehicle registration, and insurance card were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Attempted Theft from Vehicles – 201400000731 – Unit block of Hampton Ct and 1900 block of Hunt Meadow Dr – 02/12 at 12:30am:  An observant citizen called the police to report a man trying vehicle door handles in the area of Hampton Ct.  When officers arrived they located a vehicle nearby in the 1900 block of Hunt Meadow Dr with the door open.  The owner could not be located to discover if anything had been taken from the vehicle.  Officers located several other vehicles in the area with their interior lights illuminated, but could not locate anyone in the area.

Neighborhood Watch Meeting
The next Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held tonight, Wednesday, February 12, from 6:30pm to 8pm at Annapolis Police Headquarters, 199 Taylor Avenue.  This meeting’s topic will be “Human Trafficking in Annapolis”.  Retired Detective Jeffrey Hartlove will talk about a human trafficking case involving brothels being operated in Annapolis.  Food will be served so please RSVP to Sgt. Citizen Fingerprinting
There will be no citizen fingerprinting offered Monday, February 17 due to the Presidents’ Day holiday.
