Harwood Man Arrested After Assault In Edgewater

On February 14, 2014 at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to
Mitchells Chance Rd., in reference to an assault. The caller advised a male victim was lying on the ground bleeding and possibly unconscious.

Upon the arrival of officers, they met with witnesses who advised that the victim threw a cup out of his vehicle on the ground. The suspect, identified as Timothy Zois told the victim that he should pick up his trash. Both parties then began to argue. They then both began to physically assault each other. Zois struck the victim in the face causing him to fall on the ground and strike his head.  Zois then left the scene.

The victim was taken by Maryland State Police helicopter to shock trauma as a precaution due to his head injury.

Through investigative means, officers were able to locate Zois at his residence. Zois was arrested and transported to Southern District.

Zois was charged with 2nd Assault.

Suspect: Timothy George Zois, 47, of the 4500 block of Lansdale Rd., Harwood, MD.
