Schuh Raises More Than $1 Million For County Exec Race

SchuhDelegate Steve Schuh publicly released his campaign finance report showing he has approximately $1.25 million to run a successful campaign for County Executive in 2014.

“I am honored and humbled by the enormous outpouring of support from the community for my campaign,” Schuh said. “Our momentum is building to run an effective campaign with the resources to reach the voters. I will run my campaign like I intend to run the County: communicating my vision, spending wisely and conducting myself as a representative the people can be proud of.”

The campaign raised $1.25 million in the current cycle for the period of January 1, 2011 to January 8, 2014 and has a total of $865,000 on-hand. The campaign received over 2,300 contributions from over 1,300 different donors representing a wide cross-section of citizens and businesses. The average amount contributed was approximately $375. More than 75% of contributions originated from donors within Anne Arundel County.

Schuh plans to open his campaign headquarters at the end of this month. His vision for the County is to foster a vigorous economy fueled by low taxes, a moderate hand of regulation, and a pro-business and pro-jobs government that respects the environment. Schuh is a lifelong resident who has been active in the community, raised two children, run successful businesses and served as an elected representative. He has been endorsed by more than 100 Republican leaders.
