Girl, 10, Rescued From Pasadena Well.  Fire crews in Anne Arundel County rescued a 10-year-old girl who got trapped in a 30-foot well in Pasadena on Monday afternoon. Crews were called just before 4 p.m. to the 800 block of 207th Street in the Green Haven neighborhood of Pasadena. Officials told 11 News the child was conscious and that crews had to work for about 30 minutes in a confined space to free her.

Murder-Suicide Suspected In Glen Burnie Deaths.  Anne Arundel County police said the deaths of two men in Glen Burnie are being investigated primarily as a murder-suicide. Police said the occupants of a basement apartment inside a single-family home in the unit block of Wendover Road reported hearing gunshots inside the home shortly after 5 p.m. Monday.

Canceled Plunge To Be Rescheduled.  Bitter cold weather prompted organizers to cancel the Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge for the first time in the event’s 18-year history. t was even too cold for the polar bears on Saturday: The 7,000 people who volunteer to plunge into the icy water of the Chesapeake Bay. “The tipping point was the confluence of three extremes: extreme cold, extreme weather and extreme buildup of ice in the water. We have had each of those separately, but never had all three at the same time,” said Jim Schmutz, president and CEO at Special Olympics Maryland.

Southwest Airlines To Take Over 3 International Flights At BWI.  Three international markets out of Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport will switch from AirTran to Southwest Airlines, the airport announced Monday afternoon. Nonstop service between BWI-Marshall and Aruba, Montego Bay and Nassau will be Southwest flights starting July 1.
