5 Arrested In Marijuana Growing Operation.  Anne Arundel County police said they have arrested five people in Glen Burnie in connection with an extensive marijuana operation. Around 7:30 p.m. Friday, tactical and drug enforcement officers executed a narcotics search warrant at a house in the 100 block of Point Pleasant Road, where police said they found a marijuana grow operation, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia.

Juvenile Faces Theft, Auto Tampering Charges.  A juvenile faces charges of theft and auto tampering when he was caught after a brief chase with police. Authorities said four juveniles were in a parking lot in the 3500 block of Laurel View Court at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday when a man saw them in his vehicle.

Man Hit By Car Taken To Shock Trauma.  A man hit by a car in Ferndale was taken to Shock Trauma in serious condition, Anne Arundel County police said. Lawrence Scott Tholen, 53, of Glen Burnie, was crossing Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard at the intersection with Ferndale Road around 5:50 p.m. Saturday when he walked out into the path of an oncoming car.

Social Media Leads To Arrest In Wawa Robbery.  Anne Arundel County police are crediting social media with helping them track down a robbery suspect. Police arrested Thomas Kirsch, 52, of Gambrills, after they said he robbed a clerk with a knife at a Wawa convenience store in the 600 block of Admiral Drive in Annapolis.
