UPDATE: Eye On Annapolis has learned that Hester’s mother passed away on January 21, 2013. Her body was found less than a mile from her home on Farley Court. We do not believe that she had any children. Hester was a CPA and an accountant with The Lichter Group based in Baltimore.
On January 22, 2014 at approximately 7:18 a.m., a citizen walking his dog discovered the body of a deceased adult female. The body was lying on the snow-covered grounds of the golf course near the 15th hole tee box at Bay Hills Golf Club in Arnold.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Witnesses were interviewed and evidence was collected from the scene. Preliminarily, there is no immediate indication of foul play and no obvious signs of trauma to the body. The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to be performed in order to determine the final cause and manner of death. The victim has since been identified as Diana Kapnistos Hester, 49, of 1304 Farley Court in Arnold, Maryland. The investigation is active and ongoing.
