World renowned accordion player, Petar Maric, will give a concert of popular and classical music for the accordion at 7 p.m. March 4 at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, 901 Chase St., Annapolis. The program will consist of both folk and classical music. The concert is free and open to the public on a first come first serve basis.
A native of Belgrade in Serbia, Mr. Maric has been a student of the accordion since the age of five and has studied at music schools throughout Europe. He has also won international competitions for accordion players in countries from Norway to Italy.
His concert will consist of selections for both original and electronic accordion. World Artists Experiences, a non-profit organization which bridges international understanding through cultural and citizen diplomacy, in partnership with the Embassy of Serbia and in cooperation with Maryland Hall and the Embassy of Serbia.
