murder-suicideOn January 27, 2014 at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Northern District responded to the unit block of Wendover Rd. in Glen Burnie for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers learned the home was set up like an apartment with two separate living areas. The residents in the lower portion of the home called the police. Officers arrived and had those individuals come out of the residence, which they did without incident. The witnesses reported that they heard shots in the upper portion of the home and it appeared that someone was shot.

Officers entered and discovered two adult men in the upper portion of the home deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The Criminal Investigation Division responded and took control of the scene. Initial investigation revealed that both men were residents of the home’s upper portion. Preliminarily, this incident appears to be a murder-suicide.

No motive is known at this point. Identification is pending notification of next of kin.

Based on the preliminary evidence, this appears to be an incident isolated to this particular home therefore leading police to believe there is no public safety concern within the community.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call detectives at 410-222-3566.
