The Library Is The Hot Place To Be This Week

AACPLThe Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) is pleased to announce that its operating hours will be extended beginning Sunday, January 26. Each county library will have the same operating hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Additionally, the Crofton and Severna Park Community Libraries will begin offering Sunday hours. Along with the Annapolis, North County and West County Area Libraries, these two Community Libraries will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays from September through May.

Finally, AACPL would like to note that it has extended its short video contest by one week, pushing the deadline for submissions back to Friday, January 31 at noon. Parents and caregivers are asked to record videos of their children, up to five years of age, explaining in one minute or less why they love the library. The grand prize winner will receive season passes to Six Flags America, and two runners-up will get tickets to Medieval Times or a box-seat ticket package for the Bowie Baysox.
