“Mr. Mallinoff has served the City and its citizens well,” Mayor Pantelides said. “He leaves behind a legacy of bringing transparency to City government and its finances. I admire Mike and thank him for staying on to help the administration during the transition.”
Mr. Mallinoff came to the City in 2002 as the Director of Neighborhood and Environmental Programs. He was named Acting City Manager in July of 2010 and was confirmed as City Manager in September of 2010.
“Mike brought stability and professionalism to City governance over the last three years,” Assistant City Manager Virginia Burke said. “The City addressed a number of deep-seated fiscal liabilities and implemented a number of Best Practices, including citizen surveys, performance measurement, and monthly reporting on expenditures, revenues, overtime, and other material published in the monthly Manager’s Memo.”
Ms. Burke will be Acting City Manager while a national search is conducted to find a replacement.
