Lots Of Library Events This Week

AACPLThe Anne Arundel County Public Library is a tremendous resource for all in the county. And they are chock full of events this week happening at most of their branches.

– Monday, December 2 –

* Eastport-Annapolis Neck Branch Library:
Very Short Stories – 1 PM – Can you write a story in just six words? Drop by the Teen Area to read some very short stories, or to write your own.

* North County Area Library:
Yoga for Every Body – 7 PM – Learn basic yoga positions and breathing techniques from Terri Hogue, director of Mountain Yoga Studio in Pasadena. For beginners and experienced yogis. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat or blanket. Call 410-222-6270 to register.

– Tuesday, December 3 –

* Crofton Branch Library:
Little Elves Craft Workshop – 6:30 PM – What will get you into the holiday spirit? How about an evening of crafts and gift making?  Multiple craft supplies, ideas and examples will be available.

* Mountain Road Branch Library:
Family Ornament Night – 7 PM – Bring the whole family for an evening of holiday ornament crafting. Projects will be available for all age levels.

– Wednesday, December 4 –

* Provinces Branch Library:
Jingle Bell Babies – 10 AM – Jingle all the way to the library for a wintry mix of tickles, bounces and rhymes.

* Annapolis Area Library:
A Lesson in Local History with Janice Hayes-Williams – 7 PM – Janice Hayes-Williams is a local historian who is currently promoting the establishment of Maryland Emancipation Day. In her talk, she will discuss this commemoration, and other historical topics.

– Thursday, December 5 –

* Riviera Beach Branch Library:
Xbox Games – 3 PM – Play Rock Band and other Xbox games with friends on the big screen.

* Edgewater Branch Library:
LegoPalooza! – 6:30 PM – Come for brick-snapping fun! Design and build your own fantastic creations. We’ll supply the Legos; please do not bring your own. The bricks stay at the library.

– Friday, December 6 –

* Broadneck Branch Library:
Teen Talk – 2:30 PM – Bring your friends and your ideas and enjoy! Ask at the branch for activity details each week or just come and see. Made possible with the help of adult volunteers.

– Saturday, December 7 –

* Annapolis Area Library:
Morning Movie – 10 AM – Come enjoy a great kids’ movie movie based on H. A. Rey’s classic picture book series. (Rated G, 77 minutes) Children are encouraged to bring a mat or a blanket. Popcorn will be provided! Call the library for exact movie title information: 410-222-1750.
