This is an update to an earlier story regarding a stabbing and a fight in Downtown Annapolis late Friday evening or early Saturday morning.
Main Street Stabbing
The Annapolis Police Department has released a synopsis of the stabbing that occurred on Friday night which we reported yesterday.
Larry Mason, 33, of Annapolis was arrested for cutting an adult male victim with a box cutter. Witnesses told officers that Mason and the victim were fighting when Mason cut the victim in the chest. The victim was driven to Baltimore Shock Trauma and was listed in critical condition. Mason is charged with attempted first and second degree murder, first degree assault, reckless endangerment, two counts of carrying a concealed weapon, and two counts of carrying a weapon with intent to injure. Mason is being held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
It appears that this incident is separate from another that occurred on West Street.
Assault Charges In West Street Incident
In that incident, an Annapolis man was shoved through the front window of Stan & Joe’s Saloon and punched in the face by a Severna Park resident. The Severna Park man attempted to leave the scene but was detained and arrested behind the BB&T Bank on Main and Church
Neither event appears to have been related to the Military Bowl which took place earlier in the day.
