Police Look For Hanover Package Thief.  Anne Arundel County police said they are looking for a package thief that struck in Hanover. Police said a man stole from the front porch of a home in the 1900 block of Ridgewood Road in Hanover around 4:20 p.m. Monday. A possible suspect vehicle in this case was a four door dark gray Acura TSX with a partial tag of 333.

Ceremony Raises Awareness Of Impaired Driving.  A special ceremony held Thursday raised awareness of the dangers of impaired driving, which increases during the holiday season. Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown joined Maryland State Police Superintendent Col. Marcus Brown for the 10th annual Maryland Remembers memorial service for those killed by drunken drivers.

Pair Arrested In Pasadena Drug Bust.  Anne Arundel County police said they arrested two people after a drug bust in Pasadena. Detectives from the Northern District Tactical Patrol Unit were in the Freetown area of Anne Arundel County in reference to complaints of drug activity. Police said while undercover detectives were in the area of Willie Johnson Lane and Willing Court, they were able to conduct a hand-to-hand purchase of crack cocaine from a woman and man around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Troubles Continue For Healthcare Exchange Enrollment.  The Maryland health care exchange debacle has left many Marylanders in the lurch, worried about how they’ll be insured come Jan. 1. Breast cancer survivor Lynn Baklor just passed a dubious two-month anniversary trying to enroll in health insurance plan through the state’s exchange. “I started applying on the state’s exchange Oct. 10,” Baklor said.
