St. John’s College tutor George Russell will give a lecture on Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation at St. John’s College. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium on Friday, November 15 at 8 p.m.
Russell earned his bachelor’s from St. Francis College and his master’s and doctorate from the Catholic University of America. He was an adjunct lecturer at Albertus Magnus College and an assistant professor of philosophy at Xavier University before joining the faculty at St. John’s College in 1995.
