Cupcake Blvd Sells More Than 500 Cupcakes For Local Charity

DSCN0691Cupcake BLVD is proud to announce their recent partnership with the Hospice Hundred , a committee of Hospice of the Chesapeake, selling over 500 cupcakes to benefit the committee’s signature project: Chesapeake Kids.

Funds were raised during Hispanic Heritage Month, which ran from September 17th through October 15th—with all proceeds being raised within the Cupcake BLVD Gambrills location. 25% of all proceeds from the Hispanic Heritage Month “Flavor of the Day” went towards furthering the mission of Hospice Hundred and Hospice of the Chesapeake. Specifically, the monies raised will assist with the Hospice of the Chesapeake Life Center Programs, Camps Nambi and Phoenix, and bereavement counseling throughout the Anne Arundel County school system.

“I wanted to combine by heritage with my love of baking and giving back to the community,” explained Angelette Aviles, founder of Cupcake BLVD, further stating “Hospice is something that effects everyone, and many people do not realize the impact that this wonderful organization has within our community—they are a silent helper within the schools and I thought they were a perfect organization to give too.”
