Colorful China Coming To Maryland Hall

colorful china3Colorful China will present the beauty and majesty of China’s ethnic people through music, dance, magic and an exhibition of calligraphy entitled WORLD PEACE on Tuesday, November 12, at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts 801 Chase Street, Annapolis, Maryland at 7:30 PM.  The performance will be composed of the renowned ethnic calligraphers, dancers, magic, and musicians in their rich and colorful ethnic costumes.

The eighty piece calligraphy exhibition, entitled WORLD PEACE, will open at 6 PM.   This exhibition includes the history of calligraphy and famous calligraphy representing peace from the ethnic groups.  A formal opening and exhibition for three days at the United Nations will follow.

The performance and exhibition comes through extensive research and preservation of China’s ethnic groups through the China Museum of Ethnology.  These ethnic arts are listed as UNESCO “oral and intangible cultural heritage” in the world.
