Police Officer Hits Pole After Cruiser Struck By Deer. An Anne Arundel County police officer was involved in a single-vehicle accident late Saturday after a deer struck his car, authorities said. The officer was on a routine patrol in a marked police vehicle near the 100 block of Central Avenue when a deer ran into the passenger’s side of the car.

Police Investigate 3 Armed Robberies.  Anne Arundel County police are investigating three robberies that occurred Friday night in Millersville, Pasadena and Glen Burnie. In Millersville, police were called around 7 p.m. to the Benfield BP Service Center in the 8600 block of Veterans Highway for an armed robbery report.

Police: Victim Stabbed Teen In Self Defense.  A teen who said he was stabbed was later arrested after Anne Arundel County police said they learned he was involved in an armed robbery in which the victim reacted in self-defense. Officers were called to the 7800 block of Winbourne Drive in Glen Burnie around 6:52 p.m. Thursday for a report of a stabbing that happened earlier.

Woman Helped By Donation Website Pays It Forward.  A Maryland woman battling two diseases who got tons of donations from a popular social networking website is now paying it forward to help a little girl in need. A few weeks ago, 11 News featured Melissa Smith, a local woman battling multiple battles cancers and a rare disease, whose story gained international attention and tens of thousands of dollars in donations through the website The Chive Charities.
