BREAKING: Serious Accident Closes Route 50 In Annapolis

traffic-accident iconUPDATED 10:51pm:   Accident involved a tractor trailer and possibly three other vehicles. One patient was transported to Shock Trauma via ambulance, one to PG trauma center via ambulance and one to AAMC in Annapolis with minor injuries. Rt-50 remains closed EB near I-97 use caution as major delays expected.

A serious accident involving 4 vehicles has shut down Route 50 eastbound just before I-97 in the area of South Haven Road.  From initial reports, one vehicle has rolled over and a person was ejected. One of the vehicles involved is also reported to be a tractor trailer.

A medevac helicopter was called but canceled due to a lengthy 17 minute estimated arrival time.
