School Bus Driver Arrested In Bank Robbery SpreeAnne Arundel County police said they have arrested a school bus driver in connection with two Glen Burnie robberies after the woman tried to rob a bank again this past weekend. Officers were called to the Bank of Glen Burnie at 740 Stevenson Road in Severn for a reported attempted robbery around 12 p.m. Saturday. Bank employees told police a black woman came in wearing a green baseball cap, approached a teller, who asked her to remove her cap, and presented the teller with a note demanding money. But the robber fled the bank prior to receiving any cash, police said.

2 Men Injured In Serious Gambrills Crash.  Anne Arundel County police said two people were injured, one critically, after a serious crash in Gambrills. Officers were called to the area of Defense Highway near Rutland Road in Gambrills for a report of a serious motor vehicle collision that happened shortly before noon Monday. Officers found a 2005 Dodge Caravan with the driver trapped inside with life-threatening injuries. Investigators from the Traffic Safety Section responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation.

Baltimore PD Changes Policy On Tweeting, Ignites Firestorm.  Baltimore City police ignited a cyber firestorm Monday by scaling back the department’s use of social media to relay real-time crime reports when it comes to nonfatal shootings. Detectives have used the account @baltimorepolice for years to put out alerts on confirmed shootings and homicides, usually within half an hour of an incident occurring.

Judge Will Not Intervene In Naval Academy Case.  A federal judge in Baltimore said she won’t order the U.S. Naval Academy superintendent to recuse himself from deciding whether three midshipmen face a court-martial in a sexual assault case. U.S. District Judge Ellen Hollander said Monday she did not find grounds for the court to interfere in the separate military court proceeding.
