Experts Warn Of Human Trafficking Risks.  Human trafficking experts warned a conference of school counselors on Wednesday that thousands of young women in Maryland are at risk of being bought and sold for sexual exploitation. Last year alone, law enforcement officers identified 200 victims of human trafficking in Maryland, with two new cases brought to light Tuesday night in Howard County.

Rabid Raccoon Found In Pasadena Park.  Anyone who’s been near Fort Smallwood Park in Pasadena and had a run-in with a raccoon there is being urged to immediately contact the Anne Arundel County Department of Health because the animal is rabid. The raccoon was found at the park’s gatehouse along Main Loop Road on Monday, and it tested positive for rabies, health officials said.

Man Sought In Annapolis 7-Eleven Robbery.  Annapolis police are asking for help to find the man who robbed a 7-Eleven in August. Officials said the man wore a mask and went into the convenience store in the 1500 block of Forest Drive shortly before 5 a.m. Aug. 6, pulled out a handgun and demanded money from one of the cashiers. The man then fled with the cash on foot.

AA County Police Make 2 Gun, Drug Arrests.  Anne Arundel County police said two people were arrested and face drug and gun charges after a traffic stop. Officers stopped a Honda Accord in the area of Ritchie Highway and Bellegrove Road for a registration violation around 10 p.m. Tuesday. While investigating the registration violation, officers saw a plain view alcohol violation so the driver and passenger were arrested at that time.
