On Sunday, September 29th, Jaguar Annapolis participated in their inaugural sponsorship of the seventh annual St. Michael’s Concours d’Elegance. A sister event to the Concours d’ Elegance staged in Pebble Beach, California, the East Coast counter part staged at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina in Cambridge, Maryland.
Jaguar Annapolis featured a display of their latest models including the: XF, XJ, XK and F-Type. Guests in attendance had the opportunity to test drive all of the new Jaguars allowing them to experience first hand the dedication and excellence that the Jaguar Brand has demonstrated for over 91 years. In addition, the 2013 St. Michael’s Concours d’Elegance highlighted award-winning motorcars, such as coach-built cars from 1900-1942 known as the Golden Age of Motoring; sports cars from 1948-1963 recognized as the post-war racing era. All cars were displayed throughout the front drive of the hotel and throughout the award winning golf course’s 18th fairway.
“Jaguar Annapolis was thrilled to be the title car sponsor for this years event,” explained John Dunphy, General Manager at Jaguar- Land Rover Annapolis, furthering “we had an opportunity to display our newest models amongst some of the worlds finest and most luxurious models. It was truly a world-class event”. A portion of the proceeds from the Concours d’Elegance benefited the Mid-Shore Community Foundation (www.mscf.org), which provides grants to charitable organizations to address the needs and improve lives of residents Kent, Queen Anne’s, Caroline, Talbot, and Dorchester counties.
