Blue Angels 2009 (76)After a three year absence, the Blue Angels will be returning to Annapolis. The squadron released their schedule a few moments ago and they will be flying on May 21 and 23, 2014 at the United States Naval Academy.

The Blue Angels have not appeared over our skies since 2010. In 2011, the unit was grounded after an unsafe maneuver was performed at a show just prior to the Annapolis show. 2012 did not happen because former Academy Superintendent Jeffrey Fowler changed the date of graduation and the Blue Angels already had committed to other shows.  In 2013, the show was canceled because of the ongoing sequester.

It is unknown at this time if a potential government shut down in January might affect the May show; but for now, here they come!   Welcome Back!
