Elderly Couple Victims Of Glen Burnie Home Invasion

homeinvasionOn October 18, 2013, at approximately 5:27 a.m., officers from Western District responded to the 500 block of McPherson Road in Glen Burnie for report of a home invasion robbery that just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims, an 87-year-old male victim and his 73-year-old girlfriend, who advised that three suspects made a forced entry into the home, encountered the victims inside of the home and assaulted them. The suspects then ransacked the home, took money and property from the residence and fled in an unknown direction. The male victim went across the street and contacted a neighbor, who called police. Both victims were transported to an area hospital by fire personnel with non-life threatening injuries. Western District Detectives are investigating the incident. Preliminary investigation suggests that this incident does not appear to be a random crime at this time.
