Apply Now For Rotary District Scholarships

rotary_logoRotary International District 7620, which includes most of Central Maryland and Washington, D.C., is calling for applications for either Post-Secondary or Global Grant  scholarships. Applications must be made through contacts at local individual Rotary Clubs in District 7620.

  1. Four Post-Secondary Scholarships of $5,000 each will be offered to scholars residing in the Rotary District and enrolling in an accredited U.S. college, university or technical school for the 2013-2014 year. Funds will be sent to the academic institutions of winning scholars to cover tuition, room, board, and books.  For a copy of the application form and instructions, see www.rotary7620.org and click on Scholarships on the left Navigation menu. Completed applications must include the application form, essay, resume/activity summary, an official school transcript, copy of test scores, and copies of any college acceptance letters received to date. The deadline for submission to Rotary clubs is Feb. 15, 2014.
  2. One Future Vision Global Grant Scholarship for $30,000 or more will be awarded for the 2014-2015 academic year. This award is granted for graduate level studies at overseas university programs which support sustainable, high impact outcomes in one of Rotary’s six areas of focus. These are: peace and conflict resolution, maternal and child health, disease prevention and treatment, basic education and literacy, water and sanitation, and economic and community development.  The deadline for the Global Grant application to Rotary clubs is Oct. 31, 2013.
