Fall Cooking Classes At Roundz

Roundz Pumpkin Contest EntriesFall is here and Roundz is reveling in the bounty of seasonal harvest. Chef Zachary Pope of Roundz Gourmet Market has two great classes in October- the return of a popular course and the introduction of a new class that celebrates “all things Fall.”

Fabulous Fall Foods- Monday, October 14, 7 pm

Make the most of the Fall harvest! When was the last time you did something fun (or new?) with winter squash, apples, pears, dried fruits or pork loin? Chef will provide recipes and tips for the preparation and plating of these (and other) cool weather staples.  Plan that Autumn dinner party with fresh enthusiasm!

Knife Skills and Vegetarian Cooking – Wednesday, October 30, 7 pm

The knife skills portion of this class includes instruction not only on knife selection, but also on the technical skill of kitchen knifery.  For example, what is your posture when you slice, dice or peel?  This focus pairs nicely with vegetarian cooking.  We’ve had many requests for Chef’s unique approach to vegetarian cuisine, backed up by full class rosters when we offered this class previously.  Register soon!

Classes are held at Roundz Gourmet Market, 2299 Johns Hopkins Road, Gambrills. Each class is $60 per student and includes a printed curriculum.  Classes last approximately two hours with dining at the conclusion.  All Roundz cooking classes are under the direction of Chef Zachary Pope (2011, 2012 & 2013 Best Chef- Capital Gazette).  Class size is limited to 12 students.

Reservations can be made either in person at Roundz Gourmet Market (2299 Johns Hopkins Rd., Gambrills) during business hours (Thurs.-Sat., 11 am to 7 pm) or by calling Roundz at 443.292.4631 to place a $20 deposit or pay in full.

As a member of the Roundz Cooking Class Express email list, you are receiving advance notice of this class.  We will begin public notice Friday, September 29.
