Syracuse University Art Galleries Director To Lecture At St. John’s College

St. Johns COllegeDomenic Iacono, director of the Syracuse University Art Galleries and curator for the “Karl Schrag: Memories and Premonitions” exhibition, will give a lecture titled “Karl Schrag and Atelier 17” at St. John’s College. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Conversation Room on Wednesday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m.

“Karl Schrag: Memories and Premonitions” is on view at the Mitchell Gallery at St. John’s College from August 28 to October 16. The first major examination of the artist’s work since his death in 1995, the exhibition includes 70 original works of art by the influential artist, including paintings, prints, and drawings.

Domenic Iacono has been with Syracuse University since 1977.  He has curated numerous exhibitions which have been seen at the Phillips Collection, Smithsonian Institution, at the Palitz Gallery in New York City, and in Italy at the University of Pisa.
