2 Drivers Seriously Injured In Pasadena Crash. Two people were seriously injured in a collision that officials believe was caused by alcohol and excessive speed.’ Anne Arundel County police arrived at about 2 a.m. Saturday to the area of Route 100 West and Catherine Avenue, where a 2011 Nissan Altima and its driver were found in the median, and a 2008 Ford Ranger pickup truck was found nearby.

Annapolis Gun Control Rally, Hearing Set For Today. The Navy Yard shooting last week is the latest incident that has moved gun control to the forefront of a national conversation yet again, and many events are planned Monday in Maryland to do that. In Annapolis, a rally is planned in support of gun rights outside the Capitol building. In the afternoon, there will be a public hearing on the issue.

Driver Dies In Anne Arundel Crash.  Authorities are investigating a crash that left a man dead in Anne Arundel County on Saturday. Anne Arundel County police said they were called at 8:31 p.m. to a report of a car crashing into a tree on Baltimore Route 648 near Druid Hill Avenue in Pasadena. Police said initial investigation revealed that a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling south on Baltimore Annapolis Road when it crossed the northbound lane, leaving the road and hitting a tree.

BWI, Salisbury Airports Get Millions In Grants.  Two airports in Maryland have received more than $8 million in federal grants for runway rehabilitation and to improve traffic flow. Sens. Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin announced the grants on Friday. Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport was awarded $5.7 million in a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The grant will go to the first phase of a $44 million taxiway system improvement project to increase traffic flow at BWI.
