Police: Teens Rob Victim Of Cell Phone In LaurelAnne Arundel County police say two teens robbed and assaulted another teen in Laurel, and robbed him of his cellphone. Officers were called to the 3300 block of Crumpton South for a reported robbery around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. A 17-year-old boy told police he was walking in the 3300 block of Crumpton South to meet up with two teenagers he knew from the area to sell them a cellphone.

Annapolis Residents To Vote In Mayoral Primary.  Residents in Annapolis are preparing to vote for candidates for mayor and City Council. Tuesday’s primary will determine the Democratic and Republican nominees for mayor and three council seats. The Capital of Annapolis reported that for the Democrats, Mayor Josh Cohen is running against lawyer Bevin Buchheister. On the Republican side, mayoral candidates are Bob O’Shea, Frank Bradley and Mike Pantelides.

2 Armed Robbers Remain On The LooseAnne Arundel County police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred over the weekend. Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Domino’s Pizza in the 5700 block of Deale Churchton Road at about 1:44 a.m. Sunday. A man with a dark-colored handgun had demanded money and a cellphone from an employee as he was leaving, police said.

13 Dead In Navy Yard Shooting.  The normal buzz of the Washington Navy Yard’s 3,000 workers will be replaced by the meticulous work of forensics teams, looking for answers after military contractor Aaron Alexis gunned down 12 people and wounded eight others. Aside from investigators, only a few essential employees will be on the base Tuesday. Authorities have questions to ask, measurements to take and information to sift through.
