McBride Gallery, 215 Main Street, presents “Oil Painters of America: Eastern Regional Exhibition.” The reception to meet the artists is Sunday, October 20, from 1 – 4 pm. Awards will be presented at 2:00pm the exhibit run until November 17th.
This is the first time Oil Painters of America is bringing their prestigious organization’s exhibition to Maryland. Cynthia McBride said, “I am honored that McBride Gallery was invited to host the Eastern Regional OPA show this year. OPA is known for the high quality paintings done by their members. I have long supported and featured the art of representational painters, which is also the mission of Oil Painters of America.”
Special events include plein air painting sessions with a group critique on Friday, October 18, an artist talk by the awards juror, Nancy Howe, OPA on Saturday morning followed by a painting demonstrations by Michael J. Carter, OPAM. Contact the gallery to participate in these free events.
