St. Anne’s of Annapolis, the Church in the Circle, is offering a new Sunday evening service at 5.30 pm, starting Sunday, September 8th. The service will be just 30 minutes long and, according to Rector Amy Richter, provides “ a time for beauty in the midst of busyness, a peaceful end to the weekend, a time for people to come from whatever activity they have been involved in during the day to gather in community.”
The service will be conducted by Reverends Amy Richter and Joe Pagano with music led by internationally known pianist, Erik Apland. Erik, is well known in the Annapolis area as a member of “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, a member of the Peabody Ragtime Ensemble, and the band leader of the legendary Delta Queen steamboat.
The service will not include communion but will include beautiful music in St. Anne’s inspiring space, some prayers, some sacred words, and a message that will make listeners laugh, cry, and think. Worshippers will leave enriched, refreshed and ready for the week ahead.
